Job summary

Third Space, Tower Bridge, London, seeks a Senior Payroll Manager to own the end-to-end payroll function across all group entities. You will ensure accurate, on-time payroll with strong compliance and develop scalable processes alongside the People and Finance teams.

You will lead a team, drive payroll transformation, implement automation, optimise systems and deliver auditable controls. The role requires strong UK payroll expertise and leadership capability.

Qualifications

• Extensive UK payroll leadership experience in a multi-site/multi-entity setting.
• Expert knowledge of UK payroll legislation and taxation.
• Experience enabling payroll transformation through automation.
• Ability to lead a team and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end payroll function across all group entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with strong compliance.
• Act as the technical authority on payroll, tax and pensions, providing expert guidance on PAYE, NI, benefits and salary sacrifice.
• Lead payroll transformation, replacing manual processes with system-driven, auditable solutions.
• Own and optimise payroll and people systems, improving data integrity and controls.
• Collaborate with Finance and stakeholders on reporting, reconciliations and accruals.
• Develop and coach the payroll team to sustain high performance and growth.
