Job summary

Senior Payroll Advisor role in Romford within a professional services environment. You will manage end-to-end weekly, monthly and annual client payrolls, handling complex payrolls including benefits, pensions and international assignments.

This is a senior, client-facing position where you’ll deliver payroll, resolve technical queries and act as a trusted contact for clients during a 6-month FTC. Hybrid working with 1 day in the office and 4 days at home.

Qualifications

• Recent payroll bureau / client payroll experience is essential.
• Strong end-to-end UK payroll knowledge and experience managing multiple client payrolls.
• Confident handling complex payroll queries and dealing directly with clients.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pensions and compliance.
• IRIS Payroll Professional experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
• CIPP qualified or qualified by experience.
• Strong Excel and payroll systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end weekly, monthly and annual client payrolls.
• Handle complex payrolls including benefits, share schemes, pensions and international assignments.
• Manage RTI submissions, HMRC correspondence and year-end processes.
• Administer auto-enrolment and complex pension arrangements.
• Advise clients on payroll legislation, statutory payments and holiday pay.
• Support new client onboarding, system implementations and parallel runs.
• Resolve complex payroll queries and provide technical guidance.
• Support and mentor junior payroll colleagues.
