Job summary
The Manchester College is seeking a Senior Pastoral Support Officer to lead on providing outstanding pastoral care across our student community. You will support wellbeing, remove barriers to learning, and help create a safe, inclusive environment across City Campus Manchester and Wythenshawe Campus.
Join a team focused on safeguarding, enrichment, and delivering high-quality support to learners aged 16+ in FE. This permanent, full-time role offers a meaningful influence on students' futures.
Qualifications
- Level 2 English and Mathematics or equivalent.
- Level 3 in Education, Social Care, Mentoring, Youth Work, Counselling or Advice & Guidance.
- Evidence of using ICT systems and programs including ProMonitor and EBS Reports.
- Evidence of supporting learners in FE/HE.
Responsibilities
- Lead on delivering outstanding pastoral care across the student community.
- Support student wellbeing and remove barriers to learning.
- Collaborate with safeguarding leads and external agencies to support learners.
- Promote enrichment and wider-college opportunities.
