Job summary

Nerams Ltd. is seeking a paramedic to work in ambulance operations delivering emergency pre-hospital care. The role involves assessing and stabilising patients, providing clinical treatment and determining hospital admission or onward care.

You will often work with Emergency Care Assistants and respond from a vehicle on a rotating schedule including nights and weekends. Requirements include current HCPC registration, an enhanced DBS, and at least 2 years of paramedic experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BSc in Paramedicine (or equivalent).
• Current HCPC registration as a paramedic.
• CERAD or equivalent emergency blue-light driving qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and provide emergency and non-emergency treatment.
• Resuscitate, stabilise, manage airways and severe bleeding.
• Administer medications, oxygen and IV fluids; perform cannulation/intubation where trained.
• Operate defibrillators and ventilators as required.
• Decide on hospital admission, destination or safe discharge.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, midwives and other emergency staff.
• Give clear handovers and maintain patient records.
• Drive company vehicles and perform vehicle checks.
• Maintain vehicles/equipment and complete logs.
