Clyde & Co is seeking a Paralegal / Senior Paralegal for the Manchester office to support our Casualty teams, including Scottish Casualty matters. The role covers motor, Employers Liability and Public Liability litigation from pre-litigation to trial, with responsibility for running a defendant caseload and liaising with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Previous Motor/EL/PL litigation experience.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor with ability to build relationships internally and externally.

Responsabilités

• Handle your own caseload.
• Deal with all procedural aspects from issue through to trial.
• Draft all pleadings.
• Value personal injury using JC Guidelines and case law.
• Assess claims for special damages.
• Negotiate settlements where appropriate.
• Prepare witness statements for court proceedings (telephone/video).
• Attend conferences with counsel when required.
• Liaise with claimant’s solicitors, counsel, courts, brokers, policyholders and insurer clients.
• Maintain case management system and timely Management Information reporting.
• Adhere to client SLA requirements and provide updates.
