Job summary

Clyde & Co is seeking a Paralegal / Senior Paralegal to join the Volume Motor team based in the Glasgow or Edinburgh office. You will manage a caseload of around 70 files, handle procedural aspects from issue to trial, and draft pleadings.

The role requires accuracy, strong organisation, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication with solicitors, courts and insurers. This is a great path for progression within a global firm.

Qualifications

• Previous Motor/RTA litigation experience is essential.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of approximately c70 files at any one time.
• Deal with all procedural aspects from issue through to trial.
• Draft all pleadings.
• Value personal injury using JC Guidelines and case law.
• Assess claims for special damages.
• Negotiate settlements where appropriate with persuasive arguments.
• Prepare witness statements for court proceedings, via telephone or video call.
• Attend conferences with counsel when required.
• Liaise with claimant's solicitors, counsel, courts, brokers, policyholders and insurers.
• Use a case management system and maintain timely, accurate MI reporting.
• Adhere to client SLA requirements in reporting and updates.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
