Clyde & Co in Manchester seeks a motivated Paralegal/Litigation Executive to support a busy Police Team. You will assist with a varied caseload including civil claims against police forces and related matters, drafting, document review and legal research.

Formación

• Previous paralegal experience, preferably within litigation or defendant insurance work including Employers Liability and Public Liability.
• Strong academic background: Minimum 2:1 degree and AAB at A levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• High attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Confidence working with large volumes of documentation and evidence.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.

Responsabilidades

• Assisting fee earners with the management of litigated and pre-litigated claims on behalf of police force clients.
• Drafting correspondence, court documents, witness instructions and reports.
• Reviewing and analysing police records, disclosure documentation, medical evidence and other case materials.
• Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries.
• Liaising with clients, witnesses, counsel, experts and third parties.
• Managing document review exercises and maintaining electronic case files.
• Assisting with the preparation of cases for hearings, trials, mediations and inquests.
• Preparing instructions to counsel and experts.
• Monitoring court deadlines and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
• Handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Supporting business development initiatives and client relationship activities where appropriate.
• Ensuring time recording is maintained accurately and promptly.
