Qualifications

• The Band 6 Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist works as an autonomous practitioner sharing a caseload of complex patients within a team structure.

Responsibilities

• Rotational post between the hospital and community palliative care team.
• Access to clinical expertise and oversight to enable the optimal care of our patients.
• Delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate care as part of the organisation.
• The palliative care service operates over 7 days.
• Attend site MDTs and Morbidity and mortality meetings.
• Establish local and national networks to share best practices.
