Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is seeking an experienced Paediatric Therapy professional to deliver clinically sound interventions for children with complex needs and to contribute to high-quality patient care.

The role involves supervision of junior staff, risk management, multidisciplinary teamwork, and ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards within a responsive, child-centred service.

Responsibilities

• Be professionally and legally accountable for a caseload of clients with complex needs under supervision.
• Manage the risk and clinical responsibility for junior staff and own caseload, with supervision of junior Therapy staff and support staff.
• Maintain knowledge of social care, education, health, housing and voluntary organisations to enable effective referrals.
• Develop therapeutic relationships to gain consent and active participation, within the legal framework for clients lacking capacity.
• Plan and review client-centred interventions using evidence-based practice and therapy models.
• Interpret complex clinical, social and environmental factors to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Record-keeping: maintain verbal, written, and electronic records according to standards.
• Represent the Therapy Service at multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to statutory assessments.
• Contribute to service design and delivery improvements through MDT collaboration.
