Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children and young people up to 18 years old in a multidisciplinary CAMHS team.

The role centrally in Rugby, UK, requires GMC registration and MRCPsych, offering UK Skilled Worker sponsorship where eligible. Full-time post with career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
• MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
• CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or accepted equivalent.
• On GMC Specialist Register or eligible to join.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children and adolescents up to 18 years.
• Deliver senior clinical input and medical leadership within a CAMHS team.
• Support inpatient assessment and treatment for young people and families.
• Contribute to clinical risk assessment, safeguarding and care planning.
• Provide supervision and consultation to medical and non-medical colleagues.
• Supervise resident doctors and support professional development.
• Contribute to service planning, governance and quality improvement.
• Help develop and improve CAMHS services.
