Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist (or Consultant Paediatrician with a Special Interest in Neurodevelopmental Disorders) to lead a new all-age neurodevelopmental service in the community.

The role focuses on assessment and treatment for school-age children with autism spectrum disorders and ADHD, supervising multidisciplinary plans, and may involve prescribing medication where appropriate.

Qualifications

• You must be GMC registered and on the CAMHS specialist register.
• Eligible for Approved Clinician Status and Section 12 approval.
• Experience leading neurodevelopmental services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant input and leadership in a community neurodevelopmental service.
• Assess and treat school-age children with autism and ADHD; oversee multidisciplinary plans.
• Consult with other professionals and prescribe medication when appropriate.
• Manage complex cases with risk assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
