Job summary

This post is based at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. You will provide physiotherapy for children with Metabolic Bone Disease, particularly Osteogenesis Imperfecta, within a multidisciplinary team.

You will develop and deliver a Musculoskeletal physiotherapy service across out-patients, inpatients, the community and outreach clinics, involving education and supervision of staff and collaboration with other professionals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy; HCPC registered.
• Experience in paediatric orthopaedics and specialist conditions.
• Experience in training and supervision of other professionals.
• Ability to manage stress and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• To provide physiotherapy input to children with Metabolic Bone Disease particularly Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) and work within a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).
• To organise, co-ordinate and deliver a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy service to out-patients, inpatients, in the community and at outreach clinics.
• To provide education, training and practical supervision to physiotherapy and other professional staff in and out of the Trust.
