We are looking for a highly motivated Physiotherapist with an interest within paediatrics to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. The successful applicant needs to have a dynamic and flexible approach and will be committed to the development of the service.
The Children's Physiotherapy Service provides assessment, treatment, and advice to children and young adults aged 0-19 living in West Northamptonshire. We work in partnership with families, Social Services, other Health professionals and Education to maintain a holistic approach for the child.
Main duties of the job
The post offers a varied paediatric caseload with the opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills. Services are provided within a range of locations to meet the needs of the child and family. These include schools, the child's home, outpatient clinics, the Child Development Centre and the acute wards. All staff participate in the paediatric daytime weekend and bank holiday on-call rota following appropriate training. As this post includes a community element, it is essential to have a valid UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle on a daily basis.
You will initially undergo a Trust and Departmental Induction programme. You will also receive clinical supervision and support from the team including established and experienced Band 7 specialist Paediatric Physiotherapists. The successful candidate will participate in integrated team meetings and training sessions. We have a commitment to continuing professional development.
Due to the nature of the post as a part time employment there can be some flexibility within the hours worked over the course of the core working week from Monday to Friday.
