Job summary
McLaren Automotive seeks a Senior Packaging Engineer to optimise packaging and warehouse processes within the supply chain, driving lean improvements and efficiency across cross-functional teams. You will develop packaging standards, maintain PFEP data, support SOPs, and apply Six Sigma/Kaizen methodologies to reduce waste and improve component handling for vehicle launches.
Based in the UK, you will partner with production, quality, and procurement to deliver cost-effective packaging solutions
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in packaging, warehouse operations, or process improvement.
- Experience applying lean manufacturing and CI tools.
- Experience with WMS/ERP and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Analyse packaging and warehouse processes to identify inefficiencies.
- Define and implement packaging standards to improve handling and transport.
- Maintain PFEP database aligned with cross-functional needs.
- Develop and improve SOPs to streamline operations.
- Apply lean tools (Six Sigma/Kaizen) to drive improvements.
- Assist in managing 3PL space and resource utilisation.
- Lead or support continuous improvement projects with on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain and engineering.
