Job summary
McLaren Automotive in Woking seeks a Logistics Engineering Manager to lead the design and implementation of internal logistics processes, delivery media, kitting strategies and lineside material flow across Logistics, ensuring parts are preserved and delivered efficiently from warehouse to production line.
You will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities and Health & Safety to support launch readiness, process standardisation and continuous
Qualifications
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience in engineering or related field.
- Minimum five years in logistics engineering or manufacturing logistics.
- Proven ability to design internal logistics processes and lineside layouts.
- Experience supporting new model launches and operational transformation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimisation of internal logistics from warehouse to lineside.
- Define lineside feed strategies to support manufacturing and minimise handling.
- Develop kitting, sequencing and replenishment processes for build needs.
- Design delivery media and presentation standards to protect parts.
- Create SOPs, layouts and work instructions for improved control and safety.
- Lead cross-functional projects and track progress to launch readiness.
- Coach and mentor logistics, warehouse and production support teams.
