Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine is recruiting a Package Engineer for Therme Manchester, a £450 million urban wellbeing resort in TraffordCity. You will coordinate work packages, interface with Architects, Engineers, and sub-contractors, ensuring safety, quality, and alignment with the project programme.

The role requires strong civil engineering knowledge, experience in package management, and the ability to produce a three-week look-ahead with the project planner.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Ability to prepare a 3 week look-ahead programme with assistance of project planner.
• Proven working experience in package management.
• Experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of building products, construction details and quality standards.
• Working towards a construction-industry related professional membership (ICE, CIOB, RICS, ICE, CIBSE, IStructE, etc).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage designated work packages with internal and external teams.
• Organise and conduct regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress, quality and safety.
• Keep Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Project Director updated on all issues.
