Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a senior Overhead Line Director to lead engineering delivery and technical governance for OHL projects within the UK T&D market. You will own OHL capability, set standards, and build trusted senior client relationships while guiding major studies and complex programmes.

You will develop people and capability across UK and global delivery teams, with potential Project Manager duties under Arcadis governance. A strong focus on safety, quality and commercial delivery is essential.

Qualifications

BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng or equivalent in Electrical, Civil, Structural or another relevant engineering discipline.
Chartered Engineer status, or an internationally recognised equivalent.
Extensive OHL expertise within electrical Transmission and Distribution with an established network.
Experience on large-scale, complex or high-risk engineering projects as a technical leader.
Strong knowledge of OHL interfaces with substations, cables, civil and asset management.
Ability to exercise independent judgement within statutory, regulatory and commercial frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead technical delivery of major OHL projects across Arcadis teams and partners.
Plan, direct and control technical tasks, people and resources to meet scope and budget.
Evaluate team competence and identify training or mentoring needs.
Oversee reviews, forecasts and action delivery risks across projects.
Take PM responsibilities including scope, invoicing and contract matters when required.
Ensure teams align with client requirements and governance standards.
