Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom seeks high calibre OHL design staff ranging from Engineer to Associate Technical Director to expand our electrical transmission, distribution and generation businesses. You will cover design, consultancy and execution across the life cycle of OHL systems, from concept to end of life, with familiarity of UK standards.

Qualifications

• Has proven experience of OHL system development, design, retrofitting and modification (11kV–400kV).
• Expert knowledge in CAD packages such as PLS-CADD.
• Proven track record in UK HSE legislation, Risk and CDM management.
• Significant experience within the electricity industry relating to OHL System design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Ideally Chartered Engineer status with a recognised body.
• Ideally Corporate membership of a leading UK engineering institution.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed design deliverables for packages of work.
• Create technical specifications for designs and contractual documentation.
• Undertake design analysis, review and approve work to ensure deliverables quality.
• Resolve technical problems and provide solutions to clients and stakeholders.
• Manage deliverables to timescales and budgets.
• Develop personal and company profiles within the client base and wider industry.
• Demonstrate advanced contractual awareness.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Support project delivery teams from a technical perspective.
• Deliver safe and constructible designs through CDM awareness.
• Lead design and deliverable innovations delivering value for company and clients alike.
