Job summary
WSP is seeking a Senior Overhead Line Engineer to lead and deliver complex transmission projects across Scotland and the UK. You will work from Glasgow, Edinburgh or Perth and provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams, guiding route development, design documentation and client engagement.
You will collaborate with environmental, planning and project delivery groups to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable overhead line solutions while developing local capability and mentoring

Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver overhead line engineering and design activities on transmission projects from 11kV to 400kV.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring within multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare technical reports, design docs, specifications and proposals for project development.
- Carry out sag-tension calculations, blowout assessments, and line optimization studies.
- Support feasibility studies and option analyses to identify technically preferred solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders, regulatory processes and client technical reviews.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and client requirements.
