Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting a Principal Overhead Line Engineer to lead design and delivery of large transmission projects. You will manage design tasks, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with international standards and client specifications.

The role offers hybrid working in a global energy environment with opportunities across multiple UK and international sites. Expertise in PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, and PLS-Pole is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record in OHL design and project delivery.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform, review and approve High Voltage OHL designs to international standards.
• Coordinate design work with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design review meetings.
• Prepare specifications, schedules and BOQs for transmission projects.
• Deliver designs that meet client requirements and industry best practices.
