Job summary
Oxford Health NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Oxfordshire Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Abingdon Community Hospital. You will work in an adult inpatient physical rehabilitation setting within an award-winning team, delivering person-centred interventions to support stroke recovery and safe discharge.
The role offers strong MDT collaboration, supervision, and opportunities to develop specialist skills in cognitive and functional assessment, with flexible weekend
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (degree or equivalent) and HCPC registration.
- CPD portfolio evidenced ongoing professional development.
- Post-registration training in stroke/rehabilitation is required.
- Member of RCOT and knowledge of specialist interest groups.
Responsibilities
- Provide motor and cognitive rehabilitation for stroke patients.
- Lead and participate in MDT meetings and family discussions.
- Prescribe equipment and assess home environments as appropriate.
- Ensure clinical governance and adherence to standards.
