Oxford Health is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for the Oxfordshire Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Abingdon Community Hospital. The role focuses on adult inpatient rehabilitation, delivering person-centred interventions to improve daily functioning and independence, with supervision and professional development support.

Applicants must be HCPC registered with a degree and CPD portfolio. Driving licence required; weekend work may be necessary in a flexible, multidisciplinary environment

Formación

• Professional Qualification (degree or equivalent).
• Professional Registration with HCPC.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver stroke rehabilitation with physical and cognitive/functional assessments.
• Communicate effectively within the MDT, with families, and external services.
• Prescribe equipment and assess home environments as appropriate.
• Represent and lead the service at family meetings and uphold governance standards.
• Provide safe, discharge-focused rehabilitative care in collaboration with the stroke MDT and community teams.
• Work autonomously within an interdisciplinary team to plan and implement patient-specific stroke care programs.
