Job summary

Anglian Water invites applications for a Lead OT Engineer to provide technical leadership across Operational Technology systems in our water infrastructure. You will support field engineers and operations teams, diagnosing high-impact issues and guiding large capital schemes to ensure service resilience.

The role focuses on OT, SCADA, PLCs, and networked systems within a regulated environment, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience engineering, implementing, and maintaining OT Process Control, SCADA, PLC and Industrial Networks.
• Provide technical expertise on Telemetry outstations, PLC/SCADA/HMIs and networking infrastructure.
• Ability to apply OT technologies to deliver robust, maintainable assets within regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with OT Programme Team and senior stakeholders to align deliverables with AM8 goals.
• Conduct technical risk assessments for automation and industry control networks.
• Create high-level customer requirements documents and detailed functional specs.
• Collaborate with AWS partners and 3rd party suppliers for tested hardware before installation.
• Review 3rd party technical docs and designs for automation/SCADA projects.
• Support POCs and trials of new Automation/SCADA hardware and systems.
