Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join the Community Equipment and Adaptations Service in Trafford. Part-time 0.6WTE with home visits across Trafford Borough.

You will manage a complex caseload, provide highly specialist assessments, prescribe equipment and adaptations, and supervise junior staff while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist with experience in community equipment and home adaptations.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience supervising junior staff and students.
• Willingness to travel across Trafford Borough for home visits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional and risk assessments for service users with complex needs.
• Prescribe and evaluate specialist equipment and environmental adaptations to maximise function and independence.
• Act as an expert resource and provide clinical guidance to the team.
• Lead complex cases and collaborate with external partners including Trafford Council.
• Manage a defined caseload and prioritise work to meet service priorities and deadlines.
• Contribute to service development and audits to ensure a responsive and evidence-based service.
