Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is seeking a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join the OT Assessment Team on a part-time basis (0.6 WTE). The role involves complex clinical leadership, advanced assessments, and specialist equipment recommendations to support independence in the community.

The post requires driving across Trafford Borough for home visits, with supervision and professional development supported.

Qualificações

• Qualified to practise as an Occupational Therapist within the NHS.
• Postgraduate qualifications and experience to Master’s level.
• Current registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Management/Leadership qualification desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive functional and risk assessments for service users with complex needs.
• Prescribe and evaluate specialist equipment and environmental adaptations to maximise function and independence.
• Act as an expert resource for the team, providing clinical guidance and supervision to junior OTs and support staff.
• Take a lead role in complex cases, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners.
• Manage a defined caseload, prioritising work to meet service priorities and deadlines.
• Contribute to service development and audits to ensure a responsive, evidence-based service.
• Deliver training and education to colleagues, service users and carers on equipment use and safe moving and handling techniques.
