Job summary

Viridor is recruiting an Operations Support Technician at the Croydon ERF site. This 40-hour-per-week role pays £47,920.13 per year, with participation in an annual bonus and benefits.

You will support the operations team, plan, implement and monitor systems to maximise process efficiency and ensure health, safety and environmental compliance. As a Senior Authorised Person (SAP), you will supervise site contractors, provide cover for shift operatives, and help maintain clear communication across

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication at all levels.
• Ability to run team briefings and shift handovers.
• Experience with Maintenance Management Systems (MMS).
• Knowledge of environmental health & safety in process/power industries.
• Experience with Permits to Work and safety documentation.
• Experience operating mobile plant.
• Engineering qualifications (ONC/HNC or equivalent).
• Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH).
• Senior Authorised Person (SAP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Support ERF operations to maximise process efficiency and safety.
• Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) and supervise on-site contractors.
• Provide cover for shift operatives and assist day operations.
• Foster effective communication across the site.
• Carry out other duties to meet site objectives.
