Job summary

Fortem is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead Capital Works and Retrofit social housing refurbishment programmes from our Hertfordshire division. The role focuses on delivering compliant works to quality standards, on time and within budget, while upholding health, safety and environmental commitments.

The successful candidate will manage project teams and partners, foster strong client and stakeholder relationships, and drive continuous improvement with a clear sustainability

Qualifications

• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
• Lead and develop Capital Works and Retrofit social housing refurbishment programmes within required timescales.
• Identify and manage commercial risk.
• Develop excellent relationships with client representatives, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Recruit, train, develop, motivate and retain Fortem staff to deliver high levels of operational service delivery.
• Provide technical support and advice to the client and project team.
• Ensure a robust strategy for delivering quality with zero defects at handover.
