Job summary

Fortem Solutions is creating two Site Manager roles to deliver capital works and retrofit social housing refurbishment programmes in Hertfordshire. The roles require leadership of project teams and external partners to meet quality, budget and timescale targets on retrofit/construction works.

You will work within the Southern Projects division on a retrofit programme, including energy efficiency upgrades, insulation, window upgrades, and low-carbon heating aligned to PAS 2030:2023 and PAS

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering capital works and larger scale projects via subcontract / supply chain.
• Experience managing multiple projects including mid/high rise and external façade systems, roofing and fire safety works.
• End-to-end site project management experience in a similar environment.
• Pre-construction and construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, effective and timely delivery of Retrofit/Construction and external refurbishment projects (e.g. EWI/External Wall Insulation, Cladding, Roofing, doors/windows).
• Lead and manage a team of direct and sub-contracted Construction and Trades staff.
• Report to the Project Manager with direct responsibility for operational Site Management.
• Lead retrofit/construction works with Projects, ensuring adherence to safe systems and company policies.
• Maintain up-to-date Health & Safety records and environmental/waste policies.
• Induct all staff, sub-contractors and visitors; reinforce customer satisfaction policies.
• Ensure compliance with all company procedures and drive performance with coaching and training.
• Maintain site presentation and organise regular site meetings to optimise resources.
