Role of the Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team for the site, responsible for controlling and coordinating various teams to ensure operational targets are met.

This role has been created to support the Site Leader in managing and controlling shift operating teams, with a focus on leadership across all operations. The Operations Manager will oversee all site operations, agree on production priorities with the Senior Leadership Team, and work towards achieving targets and goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and motivation to ensure objectives across the site are achieved.
• Identify and implement Continuous Improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Oversee and monitor budgets across the site.
• Ensure compliance with Safe Working Procedures, company policies, and current legislation.
• Develop and oversee KPIs and deputise for the Site Leader when required.
• Liaise with the Engineering team to minimize downtime by assisting with and planning major maintenance schedules.

Essential Criteria

• Strong background in Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement.
• GMP experience is essential.
• Education to a minimum of HNC Level in Chemistry.
• Experience working in COMAH regulated environments.
• Experience in Process and Manufacturing industries.
