There are circa 850 Premier Inn sites throughout the UK that need financial support and direction. Taking a leading role in the Operations finance team, this role will involve business partnering with 3 x Operations Directors.

You will manage, coach, and develop 1 direct report. The role will lead the site-level P&L budgeting for circa 850 sites and take financial ownership for reporting accuracy and management insight across all of these sites.

Location: Dunstable, hybrid - a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

What You’ll Do

• Lead site-level P&L budgeting for circa 850 sites
• Maintain financial ownership for reporting accuracy and management insight across all Operations P&L lines (excluding Labour), including Laundry, Consumables, Utilities, and Other Direct Controllables
• Cross-functional ownership and facilitation for the PI&R Operation Wincard, including measure development, target setting, and reporting
• Provide insight and challenge on drivers of region and site performance, including actionable recommendations and success measurement
• Conduct financial analysis for operational change initiatives aligned with the 5-year strategic plan
• Lead development and deployment of non-labour efficiency initiatives across Operations
• Track, analyze, and report on efficiency initiatives and trials within the PI&R estate
• Support monthly financial review processes with Operation Directors
• Provide financial support on operational and strategic projects, including evaluations and PCR
• Collaborate with the Head of Operations Finance to develop and embed the business partnering strategy
• Coordinate with Ops Business Partners to allocate analysts effectively
• Oversee daily activities of the non-labour Ops Finance team, including Business Partners and Data Centre of Excellence
• Deputize for the Head of Operations Finance as needed

What We Need

• Qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE
• Commercial acumen with understanding of operational drivers and trend analysis
• Strong financial planning and management skills
• Thought leadership in business partnering and commercial opportunity identification
• Proven influence at senior/director level
• Analytical skills to identify core issues and provide logical assessments
