In this senior individual contributor role, you will provide technical expertise, escalate when needed, and help shape how processes evolve while operating with limited people management responsibilities. We welcome flexible working patterns.
We're looking for an experienced operations associate to join a team that's increasingly becoming Saltus' 'secret sauce', in the words of our CEO. We are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running. Someone who understands financial planning products, operations and working with providers. This role drives process efficiency, develops trust in working with the PAS analysts and wider stakeholder network. This person has a focus on client outcomes and drives positive results.
Our mission is to improve everyone's relationship with their wealth: to make it a positive force for their future and at the same time to prevent it being a source of anxiety. We want everyone who works at Saltus to be proud to work here, and to find fulfilment and meaning in the work that they do.
We are a successful LLP, with a number of offices across England including London, Whiteley, Bath and Newcastle. We are incredibly proud of our culture and work really hard to ensure that Saltus is a great place to work for our people, where they can have fun and grow in their career, with a passion for excellence and customer service.
Saltus is an independently owned financial planning and discretionary investment management house. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality service for private clients, trusts, and smaller institutions. Saltus Partners was founded in 2004 and has grown organically and through a small number of carefully integrated acquisitions. Originally the business started out as an investment manager and has now developed the financial planning side of the offering, putting this at the forefront of the client relationship.
Today Saltus manages and advises on over £12 billion of client assets, acquired through a combination of organic business growth and corporate acquisitions.
Saltus is seeking a Senior Operations Associate to work within our Programmatic Advice and Suitability Team, based in Bournemouth, with a particular focus on the administration of bulk client migrations from ceding schemes onto the Saltus Platform. You'll be joining one of the most dynamic and strategically important teams in the business, supporting the firm's focus on M&A as we take advantage of unprecedented consolidation across wealth management.
This is a senior individual contributor role: you'll own a significant portion of the implementation caseload yourself, act as a point of technical expertise and escalation for less experienced team members and help shape how the team's processes evolve - without the day-to-day people-management responsibilities that sit with the Implementations Supervisor.
You'll have a wide range of responsibilities, including:
We think the best candidate for this role will have:
We're incredibly flexible about where, when and how you work: we don't want anyone to be prevented from joining Saltus because of the working pattern they're looking for. Ideally, you'd be based out of our Bournemouth office for three days each week, working the remainder from home. Alternatively, you might split your week across one of our other offices. We're passionate about championing flexible working, so if you're looking for a different pattern, come and have a chat with us about it.
Salary range £35-40,000pa dependent on experience, alongside 28 days' holiday (plus bank holidays), study assistance, life assurance, income protection and a pension, alongside access to our flexible benefits platform. Just as importantly, you'll get to experience our culture, which we really do live and breathe, ensuring that Saltus is a fantastic place to work for every single one of our 500+ people. We work hard, but we have an awful lot of fun along the way. If you think you'd like to come and join us, then please do get in touch... we’d love to hear from you!
