Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Civils & Structural Superintendent for on-site duties in Cornwall. You will lead multi-discipline teams, supervise construction activities, ensure safety compliance, and manage contractor performance across civil and structural scopes.

You will read drawings, review documentation, and contribute to commissioning and handover packages, reporting progress to senior management. The role focuses on onshore execution with a broad technical remit and a 12-month engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading trade personnel and coordinating contractor activities.
• Read, review, and challenge discipline drawings with multi-discipline scope.
• Knowledge of permits to work, CDM 2015, and risk assessment processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate large groups of trade personnel on site, ensuring safe delivery of construction activities.
• Plan workface activity and allocate manpower to balance priorities.
• Monitor manpower, productivity, costs, and quality control.
• Provide leadership and ensure compliance with methods and drawings.
• Interface with contractors to progress activities effectively.
• Prepare and compile handover and commissioning dossiers.
• Define system boundaries and participate in constructability reviews.
• Prepare monthly reports for stakeholders and board-level audiences.
• Review test reports and close out non-conformances.
