Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Civils & Structural Superintendent for an on-site role in Cornwall. The person will coordinate multi-discipline site works, supervise construction activities, ensure safety compliance and monitor contractor performance.

You will develop and implement plans for workface activity, review drawings, prepare handover dossiers, and contribute to monthly stakeholder reports. A strong background in onshore construction and BS5975 temporary works is essential.

Qualifications

• Construction site experience in an onshore environment.
• Experience leading trade personnel and coordinating contractor activities.
• Core construction trade background across multiple disciplines.
• Ability to read, review, and challenge discipline drawings.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, permits to work and related duties.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate large groups of trades on site to safely deliver scheduled activities.
• Plan workface activity and allocate manpower to balance priorities.
• Monitor manpower, crew efficiency, costs and quality control.
• Provide leadership and instruction on work methods, ensuring compliance.
• Act as on-site representative when senior management is off-site.
• Interface with contractors/subcontractors to progress activities effectively.
• Read, review, and interpret drawings across disciplines.
• Prepare and review RFPs and CWPs across disciplines.
• Prepare handover and commissioning dossiers in a multi-discipline environment.
• Ensure permit to work system is followed and risk assessments reviewed.
