Job summary

RTL Group is seeking a Senior Engineer for a 16 month contract on a large-scale on-site project in the UK. You will lead all on-site engineering activities, review drawings, coordinate design information, oversee QA procedures and maintain accurate site records.

You will ensure work aligns with project specs and programme, monitor quality across engineering activities, support management with technical input, uphold HSE standards and coordinate subcontractors. Relevant degree and CSCS required.

Qualifications

• Degree (BEng, BSc or higher) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• HNC or HND in Civil Engineering recognised.
• CSCS Card or equivalent site competence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site engineering activities with strong supervision.
• Review and coordinate drawings, specifications and design information.
• Oversee QA procedures, ITPs and temporary works.
• Produce and maintain accurate site records and as-built drawings.
• Ensure works meet project specs and programme requirements.
• Monitor quality standards across all engineering activities.
• Support the Site and Project Management team with technical input.
• Promote high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors and resolve technical issues on site.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Job description

• Lead all on-site engineering activities, including setting out and technical support.
• Review and coordinate drawings, specifications and design information.
• Oversee quality assurance procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and temporary works.
• Produce and maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and programme requirements.
• Monitor quality standards across all engineering activities.
• Support the Site and Project Management team with technical expertise.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors and resolve technical issues on site.
• Senior Engineer with experience on large industrial, logistics or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete, steel frame and external works.
• Experience managing QA procedures and ITPs.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Proficient with Leica or Trimble surveying equipment.
