The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton and Chelsea is seeking a Band 8a Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Clinical Research for the GI and Lymphoma team. The post offers autonomous practice within a busy MDT, combining clinical care with research responsibilities.

You will lead complex patient assessments, obtain consent for clinical trials, manage trial-related care and collaborate with principal investigators, ensuring high standards of safety and governance within national guidelines.

Competenze

• First level NMC registration or degree in a relevant subject.
• MSc Advanced Practice or evidence of Level 7 study and willingness to complete.
• Teaching qualification or experience is desirable.
• Non-medical prescribing or willingness to undertake.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Current ICH-GCP certificate.
• Advanced Life Support / Immediate Life Support certification.

Mansioni

• Provide advanced nursing care within a clinical research setting for cancer patients.
• Conduct health assessments, obtain history, perform examinations and monitor well-being.
• Counsel patients on clinical trials and obtain informed consent as delegated.
• Prescribe trial drugs within approved scope and ensure safety in line with protocols.
• Review inclusion/exclusion criteria with the team to ensure patient eligibility.
• Coordinate with principal investigators and sub-investigators on trial activities.
• Deliver teaching, leadership and governance within the RMH framework.
