Zusammenfassung

AECOM in the UK is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Overhead Lines (OHL) to lead transmission design projects up to 400 kV within the Transmission & Distribution team. The role is based in Birmingham with hybrid working model.

You will develop technical designs, write proposals, and support feasibility studies, with responsibilities including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, sag-tension, and insulator/conductor selection.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• CEng Chartered Engineer with a recognized electrical engineering institution (e.g. IET).
• Ideally experience delivering UK projects for transmission system operators (e.g. National Grid, SSE, SPT).
• Overhead line engineering experience (up to 400 kV).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead design activities for overhead transmission lines up to 400 kV.
• Prepare and check engineering deliverables, reports and drawings.
• Support feasibility studies and conductor sizing/ratings.
• Contribute to proposals, timelines, resources and budgets.
• Provide technical input through project implementation and public consultations.
• Perform internal QA of drawings and calculations.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders on design solutions.
