Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is seeking an experienced Substation Facilities Engineer to join the Electrical Components Team and guide offshore substations through development, construction and operation.

You will focus on facilities, auxiliary and low-voltage systems while working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners. The role involves travel to project locations, adherence to safety standards and reporting on project progress.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• Several years of relevant professional experience as an offshore substation specialist.
• Expertise in design, fabrication and testing of offshore substation facilities.
• Experience preparing technical specifications and supporting negotiations.
• Safety-focused approach and ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for offshore substation facilities, auxiliary systems and low-voltage systems across asset lifecycle.
• Develop robust designs including building fabric, drainage, cabling, HVAC, batteries and UPS.
• Prepare technical specifications and manage queries with consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Support tendering, contracting, procurement and project management activities.
• Coordinate and monitor works at fabrication/construction sites with safety focus.
