Job summary

Rubicon Consulting is seeking an Offshore EHS Advisor to provide expert Environment, Health and Safety support for offshore operations onboard the Service Operation Vessel (SOV). The role emphasizes promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling safe execution of offshore activities.

You will work with technicians, supervisors and client representatives to identify risks, implement controls, and drive continuous EHS improvement across offshore operations.

Qualifications

• Recognised health and safety qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent).
• GWO Basic Safety Training certification.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Good understanding of UK offshore H&S legislation and industry best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary offshore EHS focal point onboard the SOV.
• Provide practical EHS advice and support to offshore technicians, supervisors, vessel crew and management.
• Promote a positive safety culture through visible leadership and workforce engagement.
• Support the implementation of company, client and project EHS requirements.
• Facilitate risk assessments, toolbox talks and pre-job planning activities.
• Conduct inspections, safety tours and observations to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor critical controls for offshore and work-at-height activities.
• Support permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work where required.
• Assist in incident reporting, investigations and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate emergency drills and preparedness planning.
