Job summary

DATS Recruitment is seeking an Offshore EC&I Engineer with strong expertise in control and instrumentation, functional safety, and OT cyber security to join a specialist regulatory team in Aberdeen. The role focuses on major hazard risk management within offshore oil & gas and petrochemical sectors.

You'll assess safety cases, inspect installations, investigate incidents, and advise on engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical/EC&I engineering experience in offshore, petrochemical, or major-hazard environments.
• OT/industrial cyber security knowledge for safety-critical control systems.
• Functional safety background with SIS and IEC 61511 experience.
• Experience in safety case assessment or development.

Responsibilities

• Assess safety cases and major hazard controls.
• Undertake onshore and offshore technical inspections.
• Investigate incidents and provide expert technical advice.
• Assess EC&I, functional safety and OT cyber security arrangements.
• Produce high-quality safety reports and provide evidence when required.
