Job summary

DATS Recruitment Ltd in Aberdeen is seeking a senior Offshore EC&I Engineer with strong expertise in control & instrumentation, functional safety and OT cyber security to join a specialist technical and regulatory team. This is a senior technical role focused on major hazard risk management within offshore oil & gas and petrochemical sectors.

You will assess safety cases, undertake onshore/offshore inspections, investigate incidents, and provide expert advice on safety-critical systems,

Qualifications

• EC&I engineering in offshore oil & gas or major haz environment.
• OT/industrial cyber security knowledge of standards and safety-critical systems.
• Functional safety with SIS and IEC 61511 experience.
• Safety case assessment/development, major hazard controls.

Responsibilities

• Assess safety cases and major hazard control measures.
• Undertake onshore/offshore technical inspections.
• Investigate incidents and provide expert technical advice.
• Assess EC&I, functional safety and OT cyber security arrangements.
• Produce high-quality technical reports and expert evidence when required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regulators to ensure compliance.
