Job summary

Offshore Marine Group seeks a Dynamic Positioning Operator to operate the DP system, Fire & Gas system, and Vessel Management System (where applicable) aboard an offshore rig. You will report to the Senior DPO and functionally to the Chief Mate, ensuring safe, compliant operations and routine data logging.

The role requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent), preferred maritime certifications, and a strong understanding of DP, VMS, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Military discharge preferred for U.S. candidates.
• Trade/University education when applicable to job requirements.
• Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates.
• Knowledge of basic technical calculations for marine ops.
• Lifeboatman certificate.
• Norway-specific Havtil qualifications per regs.

Responsibilities

• Operate the DP system, ballast control, VMS, and fire & gas systems.
• Maintain rig in stable condition with correct draft and trim.
• Record DP system data and monitor alarms.
• Stand DP watch and perform emergency duties as per plan.
• Participate in safety meetings, trainings and drills.
• Follow Company OI & HSE requirements and risk controls.
• Mentor crew and maintain discipline and performance standards.
