Job summary

V.Group is seeking a Machinery Supervisor for a Floating Production, Storage & Offloading facility. The role involves commanding engine room operations aboard a ship, preparing systems for start-up, starting and monitoring machinery, and coordinating maintenance shutdowns.

You will establish work scopes, manage resources, and lead through effective communication and team leadership to ensure safe and efficient operation in a challenging offshore environment.

Qualifications

• Engine Room Equipment and Systems operation
• Utilities Operation and Maintenance
• Prepare Machinery Systems for start-up
• Prepare and Shutdown the Machinery Systems
• Isolate and reinstate the Machinery for Maintenance
• Promote training and competency within the department

Responsibilities

• Establish effective relationships with colleagues and subordinates
• Establish scope of work clearly (briefings, toolbox talks, presentations)
• Plan and control use of resources (personnel, time, materials, transport, IT)
• Use of communication skills to show leadership (oral, teambuilding, handover, recording, noting, analyzing)
• Contribute to Control of Critical Situations
