Job summary

ERSG Careers seeks a Control Systems Engineer to lead PLC-based control system design, SCADA platform configuration and full system integration for offshore and onshore renewables. You will coordinate with the Technical Authority and project teams, from feasibility to handover, driving value, innovation and cost efficiency.

Based in the UK with preferred sites including Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen and Inverness, you will travel to control centres and offshore installations, collaborate across

Qualifications

• Experience designing PLC-based control systems (hardware/panel design and software logic).
• Experience with offshore renewables control and monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/serial protocols: Modbus, DNP3, OPC, ODBC, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC61850.
• Familiarity with OT cyber security standards (IEC62443).
• Experience with WTG SCADA or remote control centres desirable.
• GWO and medical certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate control system design and development for offshore and onshore projects.
• Oversee complete system integration from feasibility to project handover.
• Collaborate with Technical Authority and project teams to drive value and innovation.
• Travel to control centres and offshore installations to support construction and commissioning.
• Draft Employer's Requirement Specifications for the Control System and support supplier selection.
• Review supplier documents for compliance with standards.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests for the Control System and SCADA equipment.
• Design and configure PLC based control systems, SCADA platforms and network architectures.
