Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Service on Welney Ward, Ely. The post focuses on rehabilitation, discharge planning and holistic assessment, working within an MDT to support patient flow and minimize length of stay.

You will be supported by a band 7 clinical lead and work autonomously on a delegated caseload, undertaking assessments and providing specialist therapy knowledge across inpatient wards

Qualifications

• Experience in holistic assessment of patients with complex presentations and multi-pathologies using clinical reasoning.
• Experience delivering rehabilitation programmes and adapt equipment as part of care planning.
• Ability to prioritise caseload and work autonomously within an MDT.

Responsibilities

• Undertake holistic assessments of patients including complex presentations.
• Develop and implement rehabilitation programmes and goals.
• Coordinate discharge planning and ensure patient and carer participation.
• Provide professional leadership and education to peers, staff and students.
• Maintain accurate records in line with HCPC and Trust guidelines.
• Deliver care across inpatient and community settings as required.
