Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to help develop the Daycare team at HMP Norwich. You will lead a small multi-professional group, supervise assistants, and run therapeutic groups while delivering 1:1 interventions to prisoners.

This role involves collaboration with internal teams and external partners, including staff training on interventions and mental health concepts.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Clinical supervisor course.

Responsibilities

• Develop Daycare pathways within the team.
• Line manage assistants in the team.
• Lead therapeutic groups with multiple disciplines.
• Carry out joint assessments and assist with formulations and discharge reports.
• Deliver 1:1 interventions with prisoners.
• Attend referral meetings and engage in regular clinical supervision.
• Build links with the prison and external services, including staff training on interventions.
