Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to provide specialist assessments and interventions across four complex care services in the North East. You will lead a clinical team and deliver person-centred therapy to maximise residents' independence.

You will supervise Junior Therapists and Therapy Assistants, maintain accurate records, collaborate with the Therapy Team, and promote dignity and choice in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of occupational therapy best practice.
• Excellent range of occupational therapy interventions and treatments.
• Kind and caring approach with strong communication.
• Positive, can-do attitude and enthusiasm to motivate others.
• HCPC registration and degree in OT are required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a clinical caseload across four services.
• Develop and deliver person-centred occupational therapy interventions with residents and families.
• Collaborate closely with the Therapy Team (Physiotherapist, Therapy Assistant, Activities Coordinators).
• Carry out assessments and maintain accurate records of interventions.
• Promote choice, dignity and independence in daily activities.
