Job summary

Matchtech is supporting a Senior Supportability Engineer role in the Defence & Security sector. This is a remote-based contract with occasional travel to Bristol for project work, lasting 12 months.

The position focuses on obsolescence management with adherence to the ACC Project Obsolescence Management Plan and related standards. The role requires extensive experience in obsolescence within defence, strong analytical and documentation skills, and the ability to manage change queries and risk

Qualifications

• Significant obsolescence management experience in defence/security.
• Understanding of ACC Project Obsolescence Management Plans.
• Proficiency in handling change queries and prioritising urgent issues.
• Knowledge of IEC 62402:2019 obligations and guidelines.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess and mitigate risks.
• Excellent documentation skills for solution documents.

Responsibilities

• Operate under the ACC Project Obsolescence Management Plan.
• Review and update the Obsolescence Management Plan as required.
• Investigate change query issues raised by the Obsolescence Manager.
• Prioritise high-priority obsolescence queries and ensure timely submissions.
• Evaluate obsolescence risks and mitigation in line with IEC 62402:2019.
• Compile evidence-based solution documents for SCC and related deliverables.
• Maintain KPIs to minimise rejection of solution documents.
