Job summary

A large defence organisation in Greater London is seeking an experienced ILS / Obsolescence Engineer to lead Integrated Logistics Support and manage obsolescence across complex engineering systems. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, proven experience in UK Defence, and strong knowledge of Defence Standards. Responsibilities include aligning with established standards and supporting maintenance schedules, among others. This position offers a hybrid working model with three days on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Integrated Logistics Support delivery within the UK Defence sector.
• Strong familiarity with UK Defence Standards and international ILS frameworks.
• Experience working with maritime platforms and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Align with BS EN-IEC-62402:2019 and MoD Spares Policy for obsolescence management.
• Monitor and mitigate obsolescence risks throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support ARM reporting, RCM meetings, and maintenance schedule interpretation.

ILS / Obsolescence Engineer needed for large defence organisation to drive Integrated Logistics Support and proactive obsolescence management across complex engineering systems.

What You’ll Do

• Obsolescence Management: Align with BS EN-IEC-62402:2019 and MoD Spares Policy.
• Monitor and mitigate obsolescence risks throughout system lifecycle.
• ILS Delivery: Support ARM reporting, RCM meetings, and maintenance schedule interpretation.
• Contribute to bids and demonstrate ILS value to stakeholders.
• Analysis & Support: Perform FMECA, LORA, LCCA, and PHS&T assessments.
• Address disposal issues and support training/documentation.
• Liaise with OEMs, supply chain, and customers to manage ILS risks.
