Job summary

Busy Bees Leeds Pudsey Lowtown is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader to oversee several rooms, ensuring a high-quality, consistent curriculum across the centre. You will mentor Room Leaders and drive safeguarding, wellbeing, and family engagement in a well-regarded Ofsted-outstanding setting.

You’ll lead planning, adapt activities for diverse needs, and maintain a supportive environment that values teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for children and team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure educational strategies are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities, adapting curriculum to diverse needs.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee wellbeing and safeguarding of children, supporting those with additional needs.
• Maintain strong relationships with parents and keep them informed of development.
• Ensure health, safety and safeguarding compliance across the centre.

About Our Nursery

Busy Bees Leeds Pudsey Lowtown, rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted, has a capacity of 65 children. Our spacious nursery is situated in a charming building and offers childcare for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Each age group has its own dedicated room, equipped with a wide range of age-appropriate toys, activities, and furniture. This setup allows your child to learn about the world around them while building confidence alongside peers at similar developmental stages. Our outdoor space provides a safe environment where children can play, get active, and learn about taking safe risks under supervision. Located right at the heart of Pudsey, we're just a short walk from the town center on Lowtown. Our nursery is also conveniently positioned, with only a 20-minute drive from Bradford and a 15-minute drive from Leeds. For those using public transport, the area is well-served by bus routes, with nearby stops just a stone's throw away. The Intake Road bus stop is served by buses 4, 4F, 9, 9A, 14, 81, and X11, while the Lowtown bus stop is also accessible via routes 4, 4F, 9, 9A, and X11. What To Expect As a Senior Nursery Room Leader

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
