Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager for a Colchester setting. You will lead daily operations, ensure high standards of care and education, and safeguard practices across the team in a busy EYFS environment.

With a focus on leadership and staff development, you will nurture strong relationships with parents and professionals while maintaining compliance with Ofsted and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Nursery Manager or senior leadership role within an EY setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Experience managing and developing a team.
• Genuine passion for children's learning, development and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations and smooth running of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and support a team of Early Years practitioners.
• Ensure the nursery provides a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
• Maintain high standards of childcare, learning and development in line with EYFS.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Build positive relationships with parents, families and external professionals.
• Monitor children's development and ensure individual learning needs are supported.
• Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training and performance where required.
• Ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements and relevant statutory regulations.
